1. Apparatenverhuur
Een vriezer, droger of koelkast huren is slim. Want als je huurt betaal je geen hoge aanschafkosten en gebruik je snel een zuinig elektrisch apparaat. Want hoe “jonger” het apparaat, hoe zuiniger in gebruik, maar ook hoe hoger de aanschafprijs. Daarom is het slimmer om nieuwe elektrische apparaten te huren in plaats van te kopen als de oude op zijn. Zo houd je je verbruik laag en dus ook de energie- en/of waterrekening.
2. Duurzame verlichting
Makkelijk en betaalbaar; vervang alle gloei- en spaarlampen in huis door ledlampen. Ledlampen met het nieuwe energielabel, ingegaan in september 2021, B of C zijn het meest duurzaam. Vergeleken met een gloeilamp bespaart een ledlamp zo’n 90% energie en als je ‘m vergelijkt met een spaarlamp zo’n 80%.
3. Isolerende ramen
Je huis (beter) isoleren is dé winnaar als het aankomt op besparen en duurzaam wonen. Een manier is door goed isolerende ramen aan te schaffen. Kies hierbij voor HR++ of triple glas. Dit isoleert beter dan “normaal” dubbel glas. H++ glas bestaat uit een dubbele glasplaat met isolerend glas en een speciale coating. Triple glas lijkt erop, maar heeft 3 glasplaten in plaats van 2. Dit isoleert nóg beter. Afhankelijk van de plek van je woning; hoek, tussen of vrijstaand, of je enkel of dubbel glas hebt en of je kiest voor HR++ of triple glas, kun je per jaar veel aan energie en dus stookkosten besparen.
4. Natuurlijke spullen
Meubels, vloeren en andere spullen gemaakt van natuurlijke materialen zoals hout passen perfect in een ecofriendly woning, gaan lang mee en zijn tijdloos. Het meest duurzame is gerecycled of resthout. Hiervoor zijn namelijk geen nieuwe bomen gekapt. Ook is massief hout duurzamer dan meubels die voor een deel bestaan uit plastic of spaanplaat. Geen fan van hout? Dan is bamboe of kurk een prima milieuvriendelijk alternatief.
5. Lagere stookkosten
Door je woning duurzaam te verwarmen met een warmtepomp of zonneboiler, in plaats van gas, kun je de stookkosten behoorlijk verlagen. Met een warmtepomp haal je warmte uit de buitenlucht, grondwater of bodem. Met een zonneboiler, de naam zegt ’t al, haal je warmte direct uit de zon. Meer verschillen? Een warmtepomp kost weinig geld qua onderhoud en zorgt voor grote kostenbesparing vergeleken met gas. Om optimaal te genieten van een warmtepomp moet je huis ook goed geïsoleerd zijn. Een zonneboiler heeft geen CO2-uitstoot tijdens gebruik, een hoog rendement en verlaagt het gasgebruik. Voorwaarden voor goede werking: een zonrijke locatie en een cv-ketel voor na verwarming. Je kunt de 2 ook combineren. Dit is het meest duurzaam.
6. Refurbished spullen
Met refurbished meubels, apparaten of andere spullen zijn krijg je prima zo-goed-als-nieuw kwaliteit voor een lage prijs. Refurbished spullen zijn namelijk niet gloednieuw. Het zijn spullen van hooguit een paar jaar oud die volledig zijn gecheckt en gerepareerd waar nodig door experts. Dit checken en repareren heet refurbishen. Zeker geen tweedehands dus. Waarom is refurbished zo duurzaam? Door bestaande spullen te refurbishen hoeven er geen nieuwe spullen gemaakt te worden. Zo ontstaat er minder afval en vervuiling. Wil je het nóg goedkoper én duurzamer? Dan is verhuur van refurbished banken, spullen of elektrische apparaten via witgoedverhuur een ideaal.
